Bramble Field Havanese, since 2010, is a family-based, CKC-registered Havanese breeding and training home in Ontario, Canada, offering CKC-registered puppies, thoughtful genetic pairings, and individualized neurological and social preparation for family life and therapy work.

From birth, we welcome our Havanese puppies into family life and thoughtfully prepare them to join their own families. Our approach focuses on early interactions, relationships, and practical skills that help a dog find its place in the natural flow of everyday life with its people. With purposeful upbringing, we build a strong foundation of trust, adaptability, curiosity, acceptance, and a willingness to engage with people. We value well-rounded family companions, including many whose temperaments may suit therapy work. Our family is passionate about the human-canine relationship and the remarkable connection that can develop when we weave dogs into the rhythm of our lives with care. We have seen that this bond can bring comfort, balance, well-being, and a deep sense of belonging through mutual trust and unconditional love shared between people and their dogs. Our holistic approach considers all aspects of our dogs' lives, from daily rhythms to overall well-being, exercise, health, temperament, training, relationships, and interests. We tailor our home and property to meet these needs. Acres of safe, fenced, off-leash yards; swimming; walks in the woods; an indoor puppy gym; and ventilated, air-filtered whelping suites with in-floor heating- all the comforts of home, plus security, cleanliness, and a peaceful environment where mamas and pups can thrive.

We raise puppies because we're passionate about giving each one a balanced foundation from the very beginning. This need became especially clear through years of canine work, including rehabilitation from neglect and abuse, and training for therapy work, obedience, agility, and event shows. During the most formative stages of puppyhood, intentional, thoughtful care and daily experiences help shape how a puppy learns to navigate the world. Puppies raised by parents who enjoy a healthy, fulfilling life benefit from observing and learning from stable, well-cared-for parents. These early influences can support natural curiosity, acceptance, trust in people, the ability to settle and rest, responsiveness to human guidance, and willingness to engage and please.

For more than a decade, we have refined an individual approach to puppy development that begins with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and continues through intentional planned experiences within family life. We gradually introduce new sensations, sounds, environments, grooming practices, crate training, litter training, and social interactions as each puppy shows readiness, while equally emphasizing exploration, confidence, and the ability to settle peacefully.

Our intention is to build foundations that serve each dog well beyond puppyhood, helping prepare them for the changing experiences and everyday rhythms of life with their own families.

We pay close attention to genetic diversity, pairing parents thoughtfully and importing parents with dual registrations, CKC registration, annual health checks, and health testing. Bramble Field Havanese is also licensed with Southgate; we are a premium registered breeder in good standing with the Canadian Kennel Club; our home and premises are inspected annually by a licensed veterinarian; and we agree to snap inspections. We exceed all bylaws and requirements, an added level of accountability uncommon among small, home-based boarding, training, and breeding families.

We believe our responsibility to each havanese in our care is to provide a life of genuine well-being-one they can look forward to each day. We invest in their happiness, health, and quality of life beyond any checklist requirement.
