Buyers Contract of Care:

  • The breeder hereby sells to the buyer, for the amount of _____________ . Payment to be received in full, for a __________________________________ Havanese pup, without breeding rights.
     
  • Born ____________________, out of _______________ and _______________. The breeder will register the puppy with the Canadian Kennel Club. The buyer will receive the CKC registration certificate by mail, when veterinarian verification of alteration is submitted to the breeder.
     
  • Altering said pup should be left until he/she reaches a minimum of 1 year of age. Research shows when a pup is altered, the absence of hormones causes skeletal problems, greatly affecting long term health. Your dog needs these hormones to finish healthy and complete.
     
  • Lyme and Leptospira Bacterin vaccines; must not be administered to said pup, it has proven to be a serious health threat to the Havanese Dog.
  • Buyer agrees not to breed said pup, or have anyone else use said pup for breeding. Breaking this Non-breeding  contract will result in repossession of dog and all offspring.

  • Buyer shall not use any Heartworm, Flea or Tick preventatives. They have been proven harmful to dogs health.
  • Buyer shall maintain said pup in excellent condition, clean water, fed recommended TLC dog food (or comparable and agreed by breeder), provide daily companionship, a safe clean home environment, exercise, behaviour training, vet and grooming needs.
     
  • Buyer also agrees that said dog will not be tied or chained. A fenced yard, spacious kennel, or proper outdoor supervision must be provided.

 

Buyer must have a crate. (minimum of 24” x 18” x 20”), and must have penned play area (minimum 4′ x 4′ at least 30” high) and a sleeping pillow or heavy blanket. In the penned play area buyer will have pup’s crate, food bowl, water bowl, litter box (temporary till fully house trained) and different types of toys – rope toy, chew bone, durable stuffy, etc…

Buyer understands they are fully responsible for said pup in every area, and must be prepared to invest in professional (hands on) training and/or any resources to assist them and said pup after they leave Bramble Field.

Buyer acknowledges that the pup is a natural animal, and knows the breeder aims high to produce healthy well bred dogs. Ultimately life and health are not in breeders hands. Buyer must be prepared to do whatever it takes to build and maintain a successful relationship with said pup after leaving Bramble Field. 

  • Breeder guarantees said pup to be free of genetic disease that would prevent the puppy from living a normal life. Written record from a certified veterinarian of such defect must be presented to the breeder, within 8 hours of assessment, to be verified by the breeders veterinarian, within one year of the pup’s life.  To be valid, the above conditions of caring for the needs of the pup must have been met while in the buyers possession. Verified by examination of our vet and ourselves as trainers, for both physical and emotional evaluation of pup. 
    Should any such defect become evident in the first year of the pup’s life, the buyer can return the pup and the breeder will replace the pup with a comparable one at the earliest possible time.

  • Should the buyer at anytime be unable to care for the needs of the dog throughout its lifetime, it is the buyers responsibility to return the dog to the breeder at the buyers cost with no refund. The ownership of the dog will revert back to the breeder and all documents of registration from the Canadian Kennel Club and all vet records will be given to the breeder, from the buyer, with the pup’s return. 
  • Under no circumstances is the dog to be placed in a rescue or dropped off at a shelter. At no time may the dog be resold, gifted, or traded.
  • This pup has been inspected by the seller’s veterinarian and is certified healthy at the time of sale. Once said pup has left our home the breeder is no longer responsible to provide the pup’s care. Training consolations, supplies, damages, veterinarian, specialist, food, grooming; total and complete care is buyers responsible, effective immediately.

Buyer understands that they are not purchasing a puppy, but rather paying for specialized care Bramble Field has already put into the puppy (and their parents); and that any care after you receive said pup is their responsibility. Under NO circumstances outside of genetic defects, will buyer receive any type of return or compensation.


The undersigned agrees to uphold all covenants of this agreement;
